... developer who created the "Big Head Mode" papercraft head for a Halloween costume.
That developer, Eric Testroete of Vancouver based studio Deep Fried Entertainment, doesn't name the game as Jackal, simply referring to it as an "Undisclosed" and "Unannounced Project" for the Wii. It may never have made it past the prototype stage, but would be... interesting if it did.
We've contacted Konami to see if they'd like to comment. We'll update if they do.

... how many of you played Jackal for the NES, but it was one of my favorite games until the contacts on the cartridge got messed up :( But it looks like Konami, who published the original, could be working on a new version for WiiWare! And if these screens are any indication, the project was definitely in development, so let’s hope it’s not cancelled. We’ll let you know what Konami has to say about this. In the mean time, enjoy the screens!

The website for Eric Testroete, who recently made the rounds for his "big head mode" Halloween costume, shows work-in-progress screens of an unannounced Wii war game he animated for MLB Superstars developer Deep Fried Entertainment. The game uses an almost top-down, zoomed-out perspective, and appears to put the player (or players) in control of jeeps equipped with machine guns.
